What a year of unexpected events! I had a great time in Daytona, ministering with people and giving away all the bibles I had with me! The 2024 Daytona trip was eventful in that I had picked up new glasses 1 week before the trip and ended up with 1 lens that was not made correctly. I did not realize that right away and as I kept driving south, my eye was shutting down, so Mary had to drive the last leg of the journey! While I kept trying to get the lens fixed, Mary had to drop me off and pick me up from the ‘Cabbage Patch’ campground every day of the Daytona Bike Week rally! Even with an eye patch, the Lord’s promises were shared with so many people! I finally got an older pair of glasses, so the slow recovery of my eye began! I couldn’t drive or focus to read the bible for almost 6 weeks! I truly missed the daily time spent reading and studying the Word of God. I have never taken my time of reading the Word lightly, and even more so now! 2 Timothy 2:15 ‘Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a workman who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the Word of truth.’ 1984 NIV
Little did we know that the Iniguez household would have more unexpected events later in 2024! Two weeks after our return home from Florida, Mary woke up with a painful left shoulder. She was eventually diagnosed with an infected shoulder and had 4 surgeries from June through October! Praise the Lord for the promise that thru all of life’s adversities, HE is there to depend on! Throughout this medical journey, we were able share bibles, tracts, and pray with people we met; the front desk, nurses, physician’s assistants, doctors & surgeon from Orthopedics, Infectious disease, Wound clinic, hospital, and even operating room! We covered a lot of ground with many frequent appts! Mary says I was a pretty good caregiver and companion through very painful days. After the 3rd surgery, it was time to leave for Sturgis! Mary encouraged me to go, because by then we knew what to expect and her back up team was in place! Our sons and their wives, neighbors, and friends came to the rescue. Sturgis was busy and once again, ALL the bibles I had with me were given away, before even before the end of Sturgis! We praised God this Thanksgiving that Mary is healedand retiring the middle of December! Jeremiah 33:6 ‘Nevertheless, I will bring health and healing to it; I will heal my people and will let them enjoy abundant peace and security.’
As 2024 comes to an end, I pray God’s Blessing on you and your families! I thank you for your prayers and continued generous support of this ministry! It is much needed as you ‘hold the rope’ as I climb down to the mission field. There are many needs in this ministry, and it is through your provision we can fulfill them. From our family to yours, we wish you a Merry Christmas & a Happy New Year.
Luke 2:10-22 ‘But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people. Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord."
