You Hold The Rope!

To take the Gospel of Jesus Christ out to the streets, highways, and communities whenever and wherever a door of opportunity
opens to minister to people in need.

Psalm 31:3
Since you are my rock and my fortress,
for the sake of your name, lead and guide me

Hebrews 11:8 “By faith Abraham obeyed when he was called to go out to the place which he would receive as an inheritance. And he went out, not knowing where he was going.”

Reading this verse, it reminds me that at times I am compelled to go, and go in faith. Once again, our Lord has given me many opportunities to minister to a wide range of people this past year. The following words are a compilation of old and new thoughts which reflects this ministry’s heart, all written with our Lord’s guidance. I once read in a devotional “everything that is worthwhile in life requires perseverance”. In the words of Jesus in the gospel of John 15:18 “If the world hates you, keep in mind that it hated me first”. Bringing the light and freedom of the gospel to a society that is getting darker each day by rejecting God’s spiritual principles, I have found that perseverance is a valuable commodity. This journey of faith requires an active relationship with our Triune God; God the Father, God the Son who is Jesus the Christ, and God the Holy Spirit. Jesus said in John 8:32 “Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free”. That is what this ministry is all about, to help people understand the power of the Gospel in their lives - using whatever means of communicating salvation through Christ Jesus. This requires prayer and perseverance.

I feel very strongly about the importance of reading and knowing what God’s Word says. Jesus said He came to set the captives free. You cannot be free unless you know the Truth. Once again, in John 8:32 Jesus said, “Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free”. I have found people base their knowledge of God through emotion and feelings, rather than the infallible Word of God, the Bible. When I stand before my God and He asks me what I did with this new life His Son, my Lord Jesus laid down his life for, I hope I can say “Lord, I tried to tell them about your love and your truth, your Word. I gave them the truth my Lord, I gave them Jesus.”

Through your support, Walls of Jericho Ministry has given clothes to those in need, fed those that were hungry, visited those in jail, given out Bibles, Christian materials, teachings, preachings and Christian music. I have prayed for many adults and children, with many answered prayers. We have also helped people grow in their faith and had the privilege of witnessing the joy of salvation experienced by new believers, Praise God!

In this past season of Thanksgiving I find so much to be grateful for and am looking forward to the upcoming recognition of the birth of Jesus our Savior, the celebration of Christmas. I pray God’s Blessing on you and your families! I thank you for your continued generous support of this ministry! It is much needed as you ‘hold the rope’ as I climb down to the mission field. There are many needs in this ministry and you support and provide for them.

Romans 10 says How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed?

And how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard?

And how shall they hear without a preacher?

And how shall they preach unless they are sent?”
